Short  : OLED burn-in itself is relatively unusual but not unheard of –  OLED TVs occasionally suffer from the problem after prolonged exposure to a static image . It is also not to be confused with LCD image retention, which usually disappears after a while. With OLED, the burn tends to be permanent. It hasn't been a completely trouble-free launch for the  iPhone 15  for  Apple , and it looks as though there might be another problem to deal with on one of the models: image retention or 'burn in' that leaves a ghostly image on screen.
